What is special-shaped parts processing
Special-shaped parts are a kind of parts that are rarely encountered in machining. They are generally welded and formed from steel plate parts and are rarely machined.
Difficulties in processing special-shaped parts
(1) It is difficult to process double-sided clamping;
(2) Elastic deformation occurs during processing;
(3) The cutting force during processing can easily cause thermal deformation of the workpiece.
Characteristics of heterosexual parts
(1) Parts of the opposite sex are generally smaller in size and more complex in appearance. It is difficult to clamp the parts during processing. The clamping method of combined clamps is generally used during processing. The clamp components are used to ensure the coincidence of multiple clamping positioning datums, and the pressure plate is used to clamp the workpiece.
(2) The design characteristics of parts are their dimensional tolerances and high geometric and positional tolerance requirements. When designing the processing technology, in order to ensure accuracy and prevent deformation during processing, in the past, the principle of decentralized processing was often adopted in processing, and rough and fine parts were processed separately. Multiple processes such as milling, grinding, and boring are often used, resulting in too many processing steps.
Reasons for the low efficiency of CNC machining of special-shaped parts
1. During the part clamping process, due to improper selection of fixtures, the parts clamping correction is slow;
2. The processing procedures of parts are too scattered, there are few processing parts in a single clamping, and the number of clamping corrections is many, etc., which are the main reasons for the long time of clamping and calibration of parts.
- During the processing, unreasonable cutting methods, improper selection of tools, and frequent replacement of tools during processing will also cause the pure cutting time of the parts to be too long.
